KUALA LUMPUR, May 1 The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) will ensure that all highway concessionaires will carry out their obligations to provide the best quality of service in the interest of road users.
LLM director-general Datuk Mohd Shuhaimi Hassan said this was following the government’s move to postpone toll hikes for three major highways in the country.
PETALING JAYA: The postponement of toll hikes this year will extend to 20 highways and two bridges - including the SMART Tunnel - and will cost the government over RM2bil, says the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA).
In a statement issued on Saturday (May 1), the MHA said the government would have to pay RM2.093bil to postpone hikes in toll charges this year. In line with the government s decision, consumers will continue to enjoy toll payments at a lower rate compared to the toll rates under the concession agreements. Consumers will also continue to enjoy quality facilities and services along the highways, the MHA said.

Kota Tinggi Waterfall Resort is located within the Gunung Panti Recreational Forest in Johor. It is a popular attraction among locals, although occasionally you do see some Singaporean tourists visiting the place on long weekends.
Of course, this was before the pandemic.
There are actually two waterfalls here. The bigger one stands at 36m and is located further in the forest; the smaller waterfall is just near the park entrance. Both falls can be easily accessed via a walkway.
You can swim or wade in both pools as they are not too deep, but plunging into it from a higher platform is not advisable as you could injure yourself. The currents can also get too strong during rainy seasons, so be wary of that.

Porsche Asia Pacific (PAP) has just announced its Q1 2021 sales results. In the first three months of the year, Porsche delivered 827 sports cars, charting a growth of 28% over the same period last year.
According to its press statement, electrification was a crucial driver for the quarter – approximately 47% of all cars delivered were either battery electric vehicles (BEVs) or plug-in hybrids. This puts the automaker close to its 2025 goal, which is to have half of all new Porsche vehicles sold to be electrified models.
Besides New Zealand, the top markets for Porsche were Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. “The ASEAN countries will remain a key focus area for Porsche,” it said in the statement. This perhaps foreshadows its plans to set up a local assembly plant in Malaysia, though it’s unclear at this point which models – besides the rumoured Macan and Cayenne – will be CKD.
