Grieving Paul Byatt was almost four times the drink-drive limit when he flipped his car.
The 47-year-old crashed his grey Nissan Micra in Oxford Road, Fegg Hayes, at 2.05pm on May 5.
Witnesses rocked the car and discovered the defendant was the sole occupant. He gave a positive roadside breath test and said, I have buried my nan today, she was 94. I was using my phone .
