LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - A four-wheeler accident in Lee County killed one male teenager and put another in the hospital.
On Tuesday, the Lee County Sheriff s Department responded to the accident on County Road 1682.
When they arrived, police found a one-vehicle accident involving a four-wheeler.
Two male teenagers, one 17 years old, the other 15 years old, were on the four-wheeler when it left the road and crashed into a tree.
The 17-year-old died as a result of the accident, and the 15-year-old was taken to the hospital in Tupelo where he was alert and conscious.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Two women are in critical condition after a suspected shooting at a rental housing community.
On July 26, 2021, at approximately 5:00 p.m. CT, the Tupelo Police Department was notified of a shooting in the 3400 block of Willie Moore (Haven Rentals).
Two adult females were transported to the North Mississippi Medical Center in critical condition with suspected gunshot wounds.
An adult male was reportedly fleeing in a blue Hyundai Sonata. TPD and Lee County Sheriff s Office units pursued the vehicle south onto the Natchez Trace where the suspect was eventually captured after fleeing vehicle and running on foot.
