Midstate Braces For Wintry Blast Wednesday
(Harrisburg, PA) The Midstate is bracing for a severe winter storm that’s expected to start around midday tomorrow. PennDOT officials are advising residents that if they don’t have to be out, its best to stay home. (Harrisburg, PA) PennDOT says they are in a relatively good position to respond to the forecasted winter weather. Pennlive reports that while they fell short on their hiring goals for the season, the department has a surplus of salt to help treat the roads thanks to last year’s mild winter. If the storm does perform to its expectations, PennDOT will likely stay with its policy to prioritize interstates, expressways, and high-volume roads first, according to Pennlive.
