SAN ANTONIO – A man was taken to an area hospital after he was found shot on the city’s East Side late Wednesday night, San Antonio police said.
Officers were called around 10:30 p.m. to the intersection of Burnet Street and Hudson Street, not far from North Walters Street after receiving word of shots fired.
According to police, officers arrived to find a man shot twice, once in the back and once in the hand.

SAN ANTONIO – An East Side home has been destroyed and a neighboring house has been damaged by an early-morning fire, the San Antonio Fire Department said.
The fire was called in just before 8 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1900 block of Lamar Street, not far from North Walters Street and Interstate 35.
According to Joe Arrington, a public information officer with the San Antonio Fire Department, firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the front of one of the homes.
