Angola s Steury finishes second in mile at Indoor Nationals

Angola junior Izaiah Steury finished second in the boys mile race at Adidas Indoor Nationals at Virginia Beach Sports Center on Sunday, just over a second behind winner Ethan Strand from Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
He ran a time of 4:11.43, which converts to a 1,600-meter time of 4:09.98, the all-time indoor record by an Indiana high school boy. Steury also finished eighth in the two-mile in a time of 9:11.85.
Carroll senior Zoe Duffus finished 15th in the girls mile race with a time of 4:56.54.
Leo senior Jackson Ringwood finished 31st in the 800 in 1:59.58. Another Lion, senior Luigi Rivas, finished 21st in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 27.42.
