In an effort to cool local demand and prices, Pakistan’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), the country’s top economic decision-making body, gave the go-ahead on Wednesday for the imports, which would have ended nearly two years of trade suspension between the nuclear-armed rivals.
“It was a consensus opinion, including the prime minister, that as long as India doesn’t review the Aug. 5, 2019, unilateral steps it took, it wouldn’t be possible to normalise relations with India,” Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said of the cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, which had to endorse the ECC’s decision for trade to start.

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) Starting Thursday, residents in Connecticut who are 16 years and older will be able to book their COVID-19 vaccine appointments.
More than 1 million people will be added to the eligibility pool on April 1, so the state is asking folks to have patience as the vaccine rollout continues.
To make things smoother, the stateâs Vaccine Administration Management System, or VAMS, allowed residents ages 16 and up to register on Wednesday, a day before the eligibility opens up.
Healthcare providers, like Hartford HealthCare and UConn Health use a portal called MyChart, so for those who plan to get their shots through one of them should register ahead of time.
