One person killed in Blackstone house fire

One person has died after an early morning fire in Blackstone, officials said.
A fire at a two-family home at 16 Auclair St. was reported around 2:20 a.m. The office of the State Fire Marshal confirmed the death of one adult later Saturday morning.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The blaze remains under investigation by the Blackstone Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the fire marshal’s office and to the Worcester District Attorney’s office.
Blackstone records indicate the house is assessed at $255,600.

The victim was an adult, a spokesperson for the state Fire Marshal s office said.
Firefighters were called to 16 Auclair St. at about 2:20 a.m. Saturday for a fire on the second floor of a two-family residence.
Video from the scene showed smoke and flames pouring from the home as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
Public safety radio transmissions indicated that firefighters were alerted to a person trapped on the second floor of the building. A dispatcher told firefighters that a police officer was unable to get inside the building
