NEW DELHI: In a significant New Year announcement, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh today extended “Disability Compensation” for all serving employees, if they get disabled in the line of duty while performing their service and are retained in service in spite of such disablement.
Today’s order will particularly provide a huge relief to young Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel like CRPF, BSF, CISF, etc since disability in performance of duties is generally reported in their case due to constraints of job requirement as well as hostile or difficult work – environment.

Common Eligibility Test for job aspirants from next year: Dr Jitendra
NEW DELHI: As a major boon for youth, particularly the government job aspirants, a Common Eligibility Test (CET) will be conducted across the country from next year to screen and shortlist candidates for recruitment to Central government jobs.
Disclosing this here today, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that this path-breaking transformational reform carried out by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) was possible because of the personal intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his deep concern for the youth. He further informed that the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for conducting Common Eligibility Test has been constituted with the approval of the Union Cabinet.

NEW DELHI, Dec 24 : Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh has asked the authorities of the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited (NHPC) to ensure employing only local youth in the recently launched and centrally funded power projects in Jammu & Kashmir. Non-local youth should be engaged only in situations where a suitable or eligible candidate is not available locally for a particular job, he said.
