The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit reported three new cases of COVID-19 Monday morning.
The new cases involve two people from Nipissing District and one person from Parry Sound District.

The individuals now the region’s 110th, 111th and 112th cases are described as one person between 40 and 59 years of age who came into close contact with a confirmed case, one person between 20 and 39 years of age who was exposed to COVID-19 in the community and another person between 20 and 39 years of age whose exposure is currently under investigation.

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is reporting three cases of COVID-19 in its Monday morning update.
With four cases added Friday, eight on Saturday and three Monday morning, the Health Unit recorded 15 diagnoses of COVID-19 over the past three days.
Two of Monday’s three new cases are in the Nipissing District.
The region now has 21 active COVID-19 cases: seven in the Nipissing District, 14 in Parry Sound.
There have now been 112 COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, resulting in 90 resolved and one death.

TORONTO As COVID-19 cases continue to rise at an alarming rate, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts, is imposing a Provincewide Shutdown. Additional restrictions will be put into place and reinforce that Ontarians should stay at home as much as possible to minimize transmission of the virus and prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed. The Provincewide Shutdown will go into effect as of Saturday, December 26, 2020, at 12:01 a.m.
