TOP STORY OF THE DAY, brought to you free by WICU: Thursday update shows county COVID-19 numbers show slight increase
Saturday, February 20, 2021
By IVY JACOBS, Times Reporter
After several weeks of COVID-19 data seesawing, the Indiana State Department of Health shows Clay Countys data has a slight increase.
Currently (Thursday, February 18, 2021), the county is in the overall YELLOW ADVISORY category with a Weekly 2-Metric Score of 1.5, Weekly Cases Per 100,000 Residents at 141 (ORANGE), and the 7-Day All Tests Positivity Rate of 8.06% (YELLOW). The three data scores place a county on the county metric color-coded chart ranging from BLUE (low spread of virus), YELLOW, ORANGE, to RED (highest level of virus spread). The ISDH confirms a county can be at various levels on the three categories and have a different overall weekly advisory level.

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. ― The Montgomery County Health Department would like to remind residents that Montgomery County will remain in the Red Advisory Level, despite anticipated changes to the color-coded county map on the Indiana State Department of Health’s COVID-19 online dashboard.
Montgomery County is expected to drop out of the Red Zone when the dashboard map reflecting the Weekly Two-Metric Score is updated Wednesday. Still, Montgomery County will continue in the Red Advisory Level for at least one more week in accordance with an Executive Order signed in December and extended by Governor Eric Holcomb last week. The Executive Order requires a county to remain in a less restrictive color zone (orange, yellow or blue) for at least two weeks before the Red Advisory Level mitigation measures and restrictions are removed.
