I beg your garden?
A troop of renowned musicians who have been roaming the country playing concerts in the gardens of hospitals and nursing homes is on its way to Cork this month.
Covid Care Concerts was launched last June by leading Irish cellist Gerald Peregrine and the project has since played close to 470 classical concerts in 14 counties.
Each concert sees a core group of some of the country’s finest classical musician joined by well-known names from the Irish music industry.
The live shows feature music ranging from classical to ‘70s pop, as well as traditional Irish music, usually finishing with ‘We’ll Meet Again’ by Vera Lynn.
