Kwaku Atimba, a 36- year- old man has been allegedly mistaken for game and shot to death in a hunting expedition at Kplesu, near Krachi in the East Municipality of the Oti Region.
The deceased reportedly went to his usual hunting and was expecting to come home the following day but never appeared.
Madam Dora Chake, wife of the deceased, not hearing from him for about four days, informed traditional leaders of the disappearance.
The news went viral and a search party was dispatched to the forest, who discovered the lifeless body of the deceased with multiple gun-shot wounds in a thicket.

Mr. Speaker,
It is always good to be back in Parliament, and to discharge the duty, in accordance with Article 67 of the Constitution, of delivering to the House a Message on the State of the Nation. I am particularly delighted as this Message is the first of my 2nd term, the validity of which was unanimously upheld last week in a well-reasoned and excellent ruling by a seven-member panel of the Supreme Court, presided over by the Chief Justice, on 4th March 2021.
