Victoria records 10 locally acquired COVID-19 cases overnight

Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley reported the state had 10 locally acquired COVID-19 cases overnight and also announced a direct link had been found to the New South Wales cluster. Mr Foley said the locally acquired cases were all linked to Victoria's Black Rock cluster. “Two of these include the New South Wales cases that the NSW colleagues announced but are now back in Melbourne, completely appropriately, and are isolating here,” Mr Foley said. “I can also confirm that genomic sequencing results have been received from the samples from the Victorian outbreak that has established that they are directly linked to the NSW cluster.” The results came from 18,337 tests conducted in the state.
