Queensland has recorded one new locally acquired case of COVID which is not linked to either of two Delta clusters that sparked ongoing mask restrictions in the state.
Acting Premier Steven Miles said on Tuesday the woman was infectious in the community for days, with exposure sites to be listed on the Sunshine Coast, while she also travelled to Cairns and Mareeba in north Queensland.
The Mareeba woman, in her 20s, was fully vaccinated with Pfizer and travelled from Melbourne to Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast on July 13.
Her infectious period stretched back to July 15 and authorities expected she had the Delta variant of coronavirus.
