North Carolina-based organic grocery chain Earth Fare will hold a job fair next month in preparation for the opening of its new store in the Monticello Shopping Center.
Williamsburg-area nonprofit organizations have adapted since the COVID-19 pandemic took hold last spring, in order to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
Among the many negative effects wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic, many individuals have been struggling with their mental health. The Williamsburg Community Foundation, as part of its sixth round of emergency COVID-19 grants to local organizations, has issued $23,000 in funds to assist five nonprofits that focus specifically on assisting with mental health issues.
“We all know somebody,” said executive director of Avalon, Theresa Cristin. “If it hasn’t happened to you personally, then you do know somebody who’s suffered through family violence or sexual assault."
