COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - An in-person graduation ceremony was held Friday at Williams Brice Stadium for University of South Carolina students in the Darla Moore School of Business, the Arnold School of Public Health, and the School of Music.
The graduation could be seen as a sign that the state is returning to some sense of normalcy amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
“Going through it in person actually meant a whole lot,” Joseph Carrouth, a 2021 graduate, said. “I didn’t think it would be a big deal but when you walk across the stage, hear your name called, get that warm feeling in your heart, really did mean a lot.”

COLUMBIA, S.C. Seconds after 2021 graduates of the University of South Carolina moved their tassels from one side to another, USC president Bob Caslen congratulated alumni from the University of California.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Friday kicks off a series of college graduations across South Carolina for the Class of 2021.
Coastal Carolina University seniors are up early Friday morning, with the first ceremony starting at 8:30 a.m. at Brooks Stadium. Face masks have to be worn and guests will be spaced out.
Drivers headed toward the area of CCU should expect to see some traffic.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Members of the Class of 2021 will be turning their tassels across South Carolina Friday.
Graduates are receiving four tickets, one for the graduate and the remaining three for guests. Graduates will sit in the stands with their guests for the ceremony.
The University of South Carolina will hold the first of its commencement ceremonies at Williams Brice Stadium at 6 p.m. Friday for graduates of the Darla Moore School of Business, the Arnold School of Public Health and the School of Music.
