Another person has died of COVID-19, figures provided by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit say.
The figures, updated on Sunday, show there have been 38 COVID-19 deaths in Haldimand-Norfolk since the start of the pandemic. That’s one more death than has been recorded by the health unit on Saturday and second in three days.

Another 15 cases were added to the local tally of COVID-19 patients by Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit on Wednesday meaning there are 185 known active cases in the community.
It brings the cumulative total for the two counties to 1,138 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

The health unit said 912 people are now considered recovered from the virus.
A new COVID-19 death was recorded Tuesday but no age or gender of the person was provided. The health unit did say the person wasn’t a long-term care or retirement resident before they were hospitalized.
