The minister cautioned the farmers about the entry of people and organisations that have nothing to do with farming and are trying to spread anarchy and fuel discontent . Through this letter, I appeal to farmers with folded hands not to fall prey to any falsehood and think on factual basis only, the minister said, while asserting that these new laws would lay the foundation of a new chapter to strengthen farmers.

JALANDHAR: Senior Punjab BJP leader and former minister Manoranjan Kalia has appreciated the farmers unions for keeping their agitation on farm laws non-political .
Addressing a press conference in Jalandhar on Thursday, in which he was also flanked by BJP Kisan Morcha national secretary Sukhminder Pal Singh Grewal, Kalia said that all the political parties, except BJP, extended their support to the farmers agitation, but farmers did not own support from any political party. “Now the farmers unions have decided to keep the religion at abeyance so that agitation remains circumscribed. Farmers unions have also decided to consider whenever the Central Government invites for talks. Both their decisions are appreciable,” he said.
