A valuable lesson, I learned from my mom, is to empower and lift up those around you. Whether is be your family, friends, co-workers or even perfect strangers, you should always help others. She lived by this frame of thought every day of her life, and I too have strived to give and share of myself whenever I can.
My own life has been filed with many blessings but also many trying and troubling times. During my difficult moments, I grew stronger and more confident. I learned to cope with what life threw my way. But, my healing process and self help never ends. Our memories of our struggles never really leave us, but they become easier to deal with. For me, everyday is a continuous, yet at different levels, reset of mind and body.
I realize we still have a few more weeks left in the NLF season, and then everyone s attention will shift to the college basketball season. I ll will absolutely enjoy those sports, but I will also be anxiously looking ahead to, and getting excited for baseball season, Our Evansville Otters are getting ready to go too.
The 2-time Frontier League Champion Otters are looking for some extra help as they prepare for another season at beautiful, historic Bosse Field. The Otters are accepting applications right now for a number of paid internships, including box office & ticketing, group hospitality & sales, and stadium food & beverage operations.
Pizza is a huge favorite in my house. We make our own pizza, eat frozen pizza by the dozen and we even eat pizza rolls. But, then it comes to the temperature of the pizza slices, we all differ.
As for me, I have been very honest and even faced the disgust of my family and co-workers. I love cold pizza. I would go so far as to say, I love cold pizza even more than hot pizza. Basically, I prefer pizza the day after is s cooked.
My husband likes his slices the perfect, moderately warm temperature. He can t even watch me eat cold pizza without gagging. Because he also doesn t like his pizza too hot, he has the process and timing for the exact degree of heat and the time for heating a slice, down to a science.
City of Evansville Extends Free COVID Testing Through March
Back in July, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke s Reopen Evansville Task Force, working with the Vanderburgh County Health Department and the Indiana State Department of Health, opened a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site at the C.K. Newsome Center in downtown Evansville. The initial plan was to take it month by month, and extend the service if it was deemed necessary based on the number of cases in the area. As we know all to well, the numbers have been trending in the wrong direction for the past several weeks, so as we enter the new year, the Task Force has announced another extension of the testing site.
