Morning Report: Jorge Masvidal blasts Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, and Colby Covington: These guys are not dudes that are made out of stone

Share this story Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC On February 12, Kamaru Usman was tied for the longest winning streak in UFC welterweight history. Unbeaten since he joined the promotion in 2015, Usman had scored victories in 12 straight fights. During that run, Usman won the welterweight crown and defended it twice. His third title defense was scheduled for February 13, 2021, opposite Gilbert Burns. A win would put Usman at 13 consecutive victories and break the tie he was in with Georges St-Pierre. Thirty-four seconds into the third stanza of his fight against Burns, Usman stood alone. The 33-year-old knocked out Burns, retained his title, and won his 13th straight fight. On Saturday, the champion looks to defend his 170-pound crown a fourth time and keep his winning streak alive when he faces Jorge Masvidal in the main event of the UFC 261 pay-per-view card.
