Citizens rallied in front of Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson’s office in Blyth on Feb. 26 to bring attention to Bill 239.
The bill, dubbed the “Stay Home If You Are Sick Act,” was introduced by London West MPP Peggy Sattler. It would allow for seven days of paid sick leave and three days of unpaid sick leave for Ontarians. It would also provide an additional 14 days of paid sick leave during an infectious disease emergency.
