Thousands of people protested in Washington, D.C., overnight on Sunday and on Monday to show their support for Cuban citizens, calling on the Biden administration to take more action against the island’s communist regime.
Protesters repeatedly chanted “Libertad!” after dark at the gates of the White House, according to a video uploaded by Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.) on Twitter at 1:48 a.m. ET on Monday. “The #CubanAmerican community is at the @WhiteHouse demanding freedom for #Cuba,” she wrote.

Donald Trump Jr., son of former President Donald Trump, topped a GOP favorability poll that pitted him against six other Republican figures.
In a poll conducted by Tony Fabrizio of Fabrizio Lee & Associates between July 6 to 8, Don Jr. was seen leading the field with a +55 favorability rate, trumping Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., by one point.
Fabrizio was pollster on both of Trump’s presidential campaigns.
“Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump Jr. are well-known and very well-liked by most Republicans, doing best among President Trump’s biggest supporters,” Fabrizio said, as first reported by Axios.
