NORTH ATTLEBORO â A Brockton man arrested last month for allegedly robbing two local grocery stores and suspected in a string of other holdups has been indicted by a Bristol County grand jury.
Justin W. OâConnell, 36, faces arraignment in Fall River Superior Court on charges of armed robbery while masked, according to the clerkâs office.
No arraignment date was immediately scheduled.
The grand jury handed up the indictments Dec. 18.
OâConnell is being held without bail in pretrial detention under the stateâs dangerousness law. He is charged with the Oct. 30 robbery at Shawâs supermarket and the Nov. 12 holdup at Stop & Shop.

FALL RIVER The driver involved in a crash that killed a New Bedford woman and seriously injured her son was sentenced to serve 14 to 16 years in state prison.
Jennaya Elsa Bennett-Werra, 23, who at the time of the incident was named James Bennett-Werra pleaded guilty to numerous charges in Fall River Superior Court last week.
According to a news release from Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, the 23-year-old South Easton woman pleaded guilty to indictments charging her with manslaughter, reckless motor vehicle homicide, leaving the scene-death resulting, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon-causing serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of personal injury and assault with a dangerous weapon.
A South Easton woman who caused a fatal car crash last year in New Bedford while on parole for a botched Attleboro bank robbery has been sentenced to prison for manslaughter.
Jennaya Elsa Bennett-Werra, 23, was sentenced to a 14- to 16-year prison term for the fatal March 27, 2019, hit-and-run crash, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III said Wednesday.
Bennett-Werra, a transgender woman formerly known as James Bennett-Werra, went through a stop sign in New Bedford and hit another car, according to prosecutors.
The occupants of the other car, Janet Murphy-Hebert, 68, and her 28-year-old son, Kyle Murphy, were rushed to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
