New Bedford Repeat Drug Dealer Sentenced
FALL RIVER A New Bedford repeat convicted drug dealer is heading to prison for three to five years after pleading guilty to multiple drug charges and to assaulting a state trooper.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office says Nicholas Beiruti, 29, pleaded guilty in Fall River Superior Court to indictments charging him with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and assault and battery on a police officer.
The charges date back to August 31, 2019, when Beiruti was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over by a Massachusetts State Trooper in New Bedford for having no inspection sticker. The trooper reported Beiruti was “acting extremely nervous” when police approached the vehicle, and that the trooper recognized him as a known drug dealer on probation for a drug-dealing conviction.
