Spring fever is described by Wikipedia as “any of a number of mood, physical, or behavioral changes, which may be experienced coinciding with the arrival of spring” with restlessness and laziness among the options. Anyone who has been in a classroom around this time knows the feeling and those of us trying to find new and exciting ways to get kids to buy into ‘finishing strong’ know it as well – though obviously this year is different and there are so many other obstacles in place. It seems like everyone at my house is having a harder time paying attention to school-related items lately. Keeping up with school info is hard in a “normal” school year, and at this point, with very few consecutive school days being identical, it seems impossible. Even the daily

Thanks to support from the Verdant Health Commission, the Edmonds School District is offering all district students the opportunity to receive free water safety swim lessons this summer.
The swim vouchers will be sent to all third grade students for lessons in levels 1-4 in water safety, through classroom teachers during the month of May. The lessons will start this summer at Yost Pool, Lynnwood Pool, and Mountlake Terrace Pool. For more information, visit the district website: Swim Voucher Program
Any school-age child who does not know how to swim can also receive a swim voucher for free beginning lessons. This includes all students in grades K-12 and students with special needs. Families will have to contact the Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace or Dale Turner/YMCA pools for details on how to get these beginning swim vouchers.

Free, drive-thru COVID-19 testing in Lynnwood Thursday Posted: February 16, 2021 537
With COVID-19 rates remaining at high levels and vaccine roll out ramping up slowly, getting tested for COVID-19 and taking precautions to prevent the spread of the virus remain vital. A free, drive-thru event is scheduled to take place Thursday, Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Homage, 5026 196th St. S.W. in Lynnwood.
Coordinated by Medical Teams International, Homage, and the Verdant Health Commission, this clinic is intended to reduce barriers to testing, including symptom checks, insurance requirements, and access for people with transportation challenges.
Pre-registration is not available for this testing. Testing is open to anyone in the community, however the goal is to ensure access for residents with barriers to testing in other locations. For instance, while this is a drive-thru event, community members without a vehicle may walk in. For the safety of patients and staff, no
