SVMC seeks participation in community health needs assessment | Vermont Business Magazine

Vermont Business Magazine Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) in Bennington is initiating a comprehensive health assessment of the communities that it serves. Conducted every 3 years, the Community Health Needs Assessment process allows SVMC to understand the current health needs of its region, assess the services available to residents, and identify where and how improvements can be made. “The past year has illustrated the importance of accessible health services and the need to reduce health inequities,” said Pamela Duchene, PhD, APRN, SVMC’s chief nursing officer and vice president of Patient Care Services. “A wide range of voices from our region are needed to help guide SVMC in continuing to provide exceptional care and comfort for our community.”

SVMC and VDH to Hold Online COVID-19 Information Session Jan 19

With cooperation from the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce and CAT-TV Vermont Business Magazine Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), part of Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC), and Bennington’s office of the Vermont Department of Health will appear in a digital information session regarding the COVID-19 vaccine distribution at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19. The event is made possible with cooperation from CAT-TV and the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce. Members of the public are invited to view and ask questions during the live broadcast at www.facebook.com/CATTVbennington/. The program will also air on CAT-TV’s public channel 1075.

SVMC to hold Online COVID-19 information session Thursday

With cooperation from the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce and CAT-TV Vermont Business Magazine Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), part of Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC), will conduct a digital information session regarding the COVID-19 vaccine at 1 pm on Thursday, January 7. The event is made possible with cooperation from CAT-TV and the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce. The session will feature SVMC’s Chief Medical Officer Trey Dobson, MD. The Chamber’s Executive Director Matthew Harrington will moderate. Dr. Dobson will answer questions about vaccine operations and detail when individuals in the region should expect to receive the vaccine. Members of the public are invited to view and ask questions during the live broadcast at www.facebook.com/CATTVbennington/. The program will also air on CAT-TV’s public channel 1075.
