After AstraZeneca announced the shortfall in the production of the COVID-19 vaccines Saturday, the European Union suffered a setback as fresh chaos ensued over the jabs’ adequate supply. In an online statement, the pharmaceutical firm announced that it was hit with delay in shipments due to the export restrictions and while the vaccines consignments were dispatched to the UK, as many as 5 countries, including the EU were expected to suffer.

The new High Commissioner of UK to India held his first press interaction in New Delhi spelling out the significance of India-UK relations. Beginning the conference with few initial remarks in Hindi, High Commissioner Alex W Ellis called this time very auspicious ( shubh hai ) for the two sides.

YANGON, Feb 25 Britain slapped further sanctions on Myanmar’s generals today for “overseeing human rights violations” since toppling civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi, as clashes broke out between pro-junta supporters and anti-coup residents.
The country has been gripped by a torrent of anger, with hundreds of thousands taking to the streets nationwide to call for the release of Suu Kyi and a return to democracy.
Some demonstrations have seen a steady increase in force from authorities at least five people have been killed since the February 1 coup, while one police officer died in a protest, according to the military.
