In the backdrop of Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov raising questions over the Indo-Pacific and the Quad, top Russian diplomats in Delhi have said that Moscow did understand India s national concept on Indo pacific, but sees the Quad lacking in inclusivity.
Russian Envoy Nikolay R. Kudashev said, As far as the Indian ocean initiative raised by PM Modi, we have no problem with [the] Indian vision.

In a major breakthrough, Bangladesh and India have signed seven agreements to boost cooperation and revive a railway link, reflecting a special nature of partnership between the two next-door nations.
The agreements came during a first-ever virtual summit between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Thursday.
Diplomatic circles in Dhaka and New Delhi considered the Bangladesh-India summit as a landmark move to script another golden chapter in relations while the international community considered it as a copybook example of a neighbourly relationship.

NEW DELHI: External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday held talks with British foreign secretary Dominic Raab to expand cooperation in a range of sectors such as trade, defence, education, environment and health.
Raab s three-day visit to India from December 14-17 comes at a time the UK is holding complex negotiations with the European Union on reaching a post Brexit trade deal.
In the wake of Brexit, the UK has been looking at ramping up trade with leading economies like India. There have been apprehensions that its separation from the European Union without a trade deal could severely cripple its financial markets and may have long-term implications for its economy.
