Source: Socialist Republic of Vietnam On May 6, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade) announced that the Indian Ministry of Finance has issued a decision not to impose anti-dumping tax on some artificial staple fibre products made or imported from China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Previously, on December 30, 2020, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies under the Indian Minister Commerce and Industry had issued the final investigation conclusion No. 6/41/2019-DGTR which proposed that the Ministry of Finance of India impose taxes of US$0.25-0.8 per kg on the products under investigation. For products from Vietnam, the proposed anti-dumping duty was US$0.41 per kg.

Friday, 12:13, 07/05/2021 VOV.VN - India has chosen not to place anti-dumping taxes on some artificial fiber products, including viscose spun yarn imported from countries such as Vietnam, according to details released by the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam. This comes after the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam received information on May 6 about the Indian Ministry of Finance s decision to not impose anti-dumping duties on a number of artificial fiber products which originate from China, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Previously on December 30, 2020, India’s Ministry of Commerce and Trade had issued their final investigation into the case, while the Indian Ministry of Finance subsequently proposed imposing anti-dumping duties of between US$0.25 and US$0.8 per kilo on these products. In line with this suggestion, it was put forward that anti-dumping taxes on Vietnamese items should be at US$0.41 per kilo.

Vietnam continues to impose anti-dumping duties on Chinese aluminum imports

This move will see the nation apply anti-dumping duties, with rates ranging between 4.39% and 35.58% on some non-alloy aluminum products from China in the form of bars, rods, extruded, treated, and untreated surfaces which are processed and unprocessed, with this policy being based on the results of the first review. The products which are to be subject to the latest anti-dumping duties were coded HS 7604.10.10, 7604.10.90, 7604.21.90, 7604.29.10, and 7604.29.90.
