Mahmudullah urges players to focus on own game

DHAKA, Dec 17, 2020 (BSS)- Gemcon Khulna skipper Mahmudullah Riyad urged his players to focus on their own game instead of thinking how strong their rivals Gazi Group Chattogram is.
Khulna will take on Chattogram in the final of Bangabandhu T20 Cup tomorrow (Friday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Khulan though beat Chattogram in the first Qualifier by 47 runs, they tasted defeats at their hands in group phase twice.
Chattogram ,however,lost just two games on their way to move to the final and they also have amassed 14 points in group phase while their next rivals Khulna collected just eight points. The difference in point table showed how dominating Chattogram was throughout the tournament.

DHAKA, Dec 17, 2020 (BSS) Gemcon Khulna is determined to come all guns blazing despite the absence of their key player Shakib Al Hasan as they take on Gazi Group Chattogram in the final of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup tomorrow (Friday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The match starts at 4.30 pm. Country’s new sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the stadium.
Shakib flew to the USA after the first Qualifier game in which Khulna beat Chattogram by 47 runs to move to the final straightway, due to be with his ailing father-in-law. However his father-in-law passed away before he reached there.

Gazi Group Chattogram, the table-topper in the league-phase of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup, advanced to the final winning a low-scoring affair against Bexmimco Dhaka by seven wickets on Tuesday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Dhaka won the toss and opted to bat first, but they failed to post a challenging total, scoring 116 runs in 20 overs.
Dhaka sent Sabbir Rahman and Muktar Ali as the openers aiming to display some explosive batting performance during the early overs, but the duo failed to do so.

Former captain of Bangladesh cricket team Mushfiqur Rahim has apologized for his offensive behaviour he showed towards his teammate Nasum Ahmed on Monday.
Mushfiq, one of the most prominent players of Bangladesh, lost his cool in a tense moment during a match between his team Beximco Dhaka and Fortune Barishal in Bangabandhu T20 Cup Eliminator in Mirpur s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The wicket-keeper batsman was found throwing shadow punches towards his teammate Nasum Ahmed, with whom he collided while trying to take the catch of Afif Hosaain who was looking menacing but went out after scoring 55 runs of 35 balls.
Dhaka upbeat to win Eliminator game against Barishal

DHAKA, Dec 13, 2020 (BSS) Despite their defeat to Fortune Barishal in the last match of the group phase in a high-scoring game, Beximco Dhaka is confident to keep their Bangabandhu T20 Cup final hope alive as they lock horns the same opponent in the Eliminator game tomorrow (Monday) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The match starts at 12.30 pm.
Those who will be beaten in the Eliminator game will be eliminated from the tournament straightway. The winner however will take on the defeated side of the first Qualifier game in the second Qualifier on Tuesday.
