Sharjah schools switch to distance learning till Feb.28

Sharjah has decided put all private schools students to distance learning from the coming week.
The Sharjah Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Team and Sharjah Private Education Authority have decided to shift students at all Sharjah private schools and nurseries to distance learning from 14 to 28 February 2021, with continuous monitoring of the situation.
The authorities have taken the decision to ensure safety of students during the pandemic.
Over the past few days, the number of cases in the UAE tends to increase.
The authorities urged all parents to pay heed to the statement and start the distance learning procedure.
SHARJAH: Some Sharjah private schools are moving to full distance learning for two weeks starting from today.
Ali Al Hosani, Director of Sharjah Private EducatioN Authority (SPEA) told Gulf News that some private schools in Sharjah will conduct online learning for two weeks as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
After the two-week online phase, students who had been coming to school for in-person classes can return as normal, while students who were distance learning can continue as before, the circulars said. This includes students doing blended or hybrid learning, which is a mix of both online and onsite classes.

The reprieve is applicable for two years.
Projects supported by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation (Ruwad) will be exempted from half of government agency fees for two more years, it was announced on Tuesday.
The reprieve will support and encourage small and medium enterprises and motivate citizens to enter the labour market.
This came as Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), on Tuesday, chaired a meeting of the council at the Sharjah Ruler’s office.
