Five workers sustained burn injuries in a fire at a knitting factory in Narayanganj's Sonargaon upazila early today. The injured are Bashir, Mehedi, Alam, Nasir and Heaven Chakma. With Ashiquzzaman, the death toll from the fire incident stood at six.
Muna and Ashiquzzaman – both computer engineers by profession lost consciousness when the fire broke out on the ground floor of the six-storied Musa Mansion on April 23.
A day after the incident, the couple was put on life support at the institute.
Ashiquzzaman and Muna tied the knot around one and a half months ago. Their wedding reception was yet to be held.
Ashiquzzaman was at his in-laws house in Armanitola when the fire broke out.

A man who sustained burn injuries in a gas explosion at a building in Narayanganj Sadar upazila on Friday died at a hospital in Dhaka last night.
The victim, Habibur Rahman, 45, breathed his last around 9:00pm while being treated at the Intensive Care unit of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dr Partha Sangkhar Paul, residential surgeon of the institute said.

One of the 11 members of two families, who suffered injuries after a gas explosion at a building in Narayanganj Sadar upazila, died at a hospital in Dhaka this morning.
Aleya Begum, 38, breathed her last around 2:00am while being treated at the Intensive Care unit of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dr Samanta Lal Sen, coordinator of the institute said.
She sustained 95 percent burns, he said.
One Friday, 11 members of the families sustained injures after the gas explosion. Six of the injured were sent to the burn institute as their conditions were critical.
