Senator Schumer Talks Economy in Norwich WBNG.com New York Senator Chuck Schumer makes a habit of every year visiting each of the State of New York s 62 counties at least once during the calendar year.  It looks like Chenangao County was up this week. According to WBNG, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer made his annual trip to Chenango County on Tuesday to meet with community and business leaders and discuss the future of the local, state and national economy. In total, Chenango County is slated to receive more than $9-million dollars in funds.  Also Norwich will receive an additional $720,000, the Town of Greene will receive $550,000, and the Town of Oxford is scheduled to receive $400,000.
