Journalist’s house robbed January 29, 2021
Islamabad : An armed robbery was reported at a house of a journalist in a private housing society along Islamabad Expressway on Thursday.
Muhammad Aslam, the investigation officer in the case, says that security staff at the housing society is busy in identifying the robbers assessing data on their security cameras.
He said that hopefully they and the police will soon identify the robbers and name them in the first information report (FIR) of the case at Loi Bhair Police Station. Hassan Shehzad, owner of the house said that he has trust in what the police are saying, adding that once the FIR is registered, the investigation will proceed further.

As many as five candidates, including one top former bureaucrat, are in the race for the position of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) chairman.
Initially, a special committee, headed by close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan, had shortlisted 24 candidates. After interviewing these candidates, the committee has shortlisted five candidates including former secretary Dr Tanvir Qureshi. Officials familiar with the development said that the Cabinet Division would seek clearance of the shortlisted candidates from the intelligence agencies. GUJRAT: Despite completion of most of the infrastructural work in the Wazirabad Small Industrial Estate, local manufacturers have been awaiting possession of their plots due to the unavailability of electricity, gas and other basic facilities there.
Hundreds of manufacturing units of cutlery and stainless utensils have been operating from residential areas in Wazirabad city, causing a great deal of inconvenience to the residents as well as manufacturers for over five decades.

ISLAMABAD: The Petroleum Division on Monday assured there were currently no plans for gas load shedding anywhere in the country for domestic, commercial or industrial sectors, but admitted to bottlenecks caused by severe cold wave.
Power Division spokesperson said that there were isolated complaints of pressure drops, especially in tail-ends of the lines, which were being attended to by the gas utilities. âBoth gas utilities are striving to maintain the gas supply to 10 million consumers across the country. However, the illegal use of gas compressors has led to low gas pressure problems in some areas, which is being curbed by the companies,â the official added.
