Another week, more crimes come through the justice system. The magistrates courts have continued to process criminals through the system this week, with crimes including drink driving, assault and harassment. Here is a rundown of some of the criminals sentenced recently. Roxanne Duke, 30, of Cheltenham Road, Southend, appeared in court after being caught in the town back on November 5, 2019. She was found driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Bournemouth Park Road, and following a breath test, was found to have 56 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, which is over the legal limit. She appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court where she admitted the offence and using abusive words and was fined £100.

Loughton man jailed after home grown cannabis found in home

A man has been jailed after 571 cannabis plants were found growing inside his home. Nicolas Vizzini, 31, tried to escape out of the back door of Mott Street, Loughton, after police executed a warrant on July 15, 2020. During his attempt to flee the scene, he was arrested before he could escape. Cannabis plants in were found in the living areas and three bedrooms, but the majority were in the basement. Vizzini later admitted to producing cannabis when he appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on August 13. He has now been jailed for a year and four months after appearing at court on April 14.

Katie Jarvis said black lives don t matter in Southend brawl | Clacton and Frinton Gazette

A FORMER EastEnders actress has appeared in court over allegations she shouted “black lives don’t matter” and attacked women on Southend seafront. Katie Jarvis faces charges of racially aggravated harassment, using threatening words or language and assault following a brawl on Marine Parade in Southend, outside the Papillon pub. Jarvis, 29, played the character Hayley Slater in the BBC One soap EastEnders from 2018 to 2019. She appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court dressed in a black coat and wearing a face mask. She spoke only to confirm her name and address. The court heard that the alleged incidents took place on July 31 last year over the course of three hours.
