Now Taylor Swift is back, and this time she is picking up the coveted Icon Award, celebrating the impact her music has had on modern culture.

At the age of 31, Taylor is not only the first woman to win the award but she is also the youngest – and she follows in the footsteps of music legends including David Bowie and Sir Elton John.
And while I’ve seen some naysayers arguing Taylor is simply too young to be awarded such an important gong, I couldn’t disagree more.

SEOUL: South Korea s Kakao Entertainment said on Tuesday (May 11) it was acquiring US-based online comic app Tapas and serialised fiction app Radish for US$510 million and US$440 million, respectively.
The purchase will make the online comic, talent agency and movie-making unit of South Korean tech giant Kakao the latest South Korean entertainment firm to expand in North America as Korean entertainment s global reach widens.
These positive first-quarter results don’t, however, come close to the company’s impressive previous quarter, Q4 2020. Then, still without touring income, HYBE produced livestreamed concerts and had strong music sales 159% greater than 2021’s first quarter and closed 2020 with quarterly revenue of $278 million and a $23.7 million profit.
HYBE didn’t provide guidance on concert revenue in 2021, saying “with pandemic conditions still in place, forecasts are still unclear on the possibility of in-person concerts in the second half of this year.” In the meantime, HYBE said it will offer more livestream concerts and “other diverse content.”

The two luminaries of pop music are collaborating on a new song, according to New York Post’s
Page Six.
Quoting a source, the two parties were reportedly taking their time to make sure the release is done right.
