A traditional Plough Sunday service was held virtually on Zoom for more than 60 parishioners in a Huntingdonshire village.
Plans to move the service on January 10 from St Nicolas Church in Hail Weston to Saint Andrew’s in Great Staughton has to be postponed due to lockdown.
Instead, the service which is held to start the farming year, had to be put on Zoom at short notice.
However, more than 60 people attended – offering enthusiastic feedback for the new ‘online’ format.
Will Mumford of Agden Green Farm showed off his British built 5 furrow reversible plough by joining the service using his phone.

Four men who stole lead from more than 20 remote country churches across England have been jailed.
Paul Buica, Constantin Motescu, Luarentiu Sucea and Mihai Birtu targeted the churches, from Dorset to Yorkshire, between 2018 and 2020.
The affected buildings faced a combined repair bill of more than £2m, Lincoln Crown Court was told.
A vicar said the thieves had desecrated his church for a few pounds worth of lead .
Michael Cranmer-Brown, prosecuting, told the court that some of the churches targeted were many centuries old and Grade I-listed .
Spalding Parish Church to host open air carol service this Sunday

People in Spalding who want to celebrate the Christmas season at a traditional carol service can do so this Sunday.
St Mary and St Nicolas Church, in The Vista, is hosting and open air carol service this Sunday (December 20) at 5pm.
Music from the church organ will be relayed to the public outside and readers will have a microphone to use, while standing in the west door entrance.

The Rev John Bennett, vicar of Spalding, said: This will be the only occasion when members of the congregation will be able to sing carols at church as, this year, the current restrictions do not allow them to sing inside.
