Edward Krivinskas, Victoria Holdenby and George Shepherd outside Oxford Crown Court A student was among a group of four in the dock accused of plotting to shift class A drugs. George Shepherd, 23, was said by his barrister to currently be finishing his university degree. Together with co-defendants Victoria Haldenby, 22, George Stevens, 43, and Edward Krivinskas, 23, he admitted conspiracy to supply class A drugs between March and June 2020. The class A drugs the group intended to supply was not specified in court by prosecutor Edward Hornsby. Adjourning the case for the preparation of pre-sentence reports, Judge Nigel Daly said: “I’m making absolutely no guarantees that each [defendant] will not receive an immediate custodial sentence.”
Oxfordshire Coroner s Court A care home resident who died from dehydration was found to have swallowed her dentures a week earlier, an inquest heard. Valerie Keeble, 90, died 12 days after choking while having lunch at The Grange care home, Stanford-in-the-Vale. She died on September 16 last year. Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court heard that Mrs Keeble’s family had raised concerns with care home staff about the nonagenarian’s missing dentures. She herself told staff that she may have swallowed a tooth. In a joint statement, parts of which were read by the coroner, Mrs Keeble’s daughters said: “As a family we feel that mum was grossly let down.”
Oxford Magistrates Court OXFORD MAGISTRATES’ COURT JOAN BENNETT, 79, of Fairmile, Henley-on-Thames, admitted driving at 50mph in a 30mph zone on Beggarsbush Hill, Benson, on February 13. She was fined £100, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £90. Her driving licence was also endorsed with four penalty points. BARTLOMIEJ ZIELINSKI, 28, of Humber Close, Didcot, admitted driving at 64mph in a 30mph zone on Bessel’s Way, Blewbury, on February 24. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £90. He was also disqualified from driving for 35 days. IAN BOUND, 35, of Bagley Close, Kennington, admitted harassment by breach of a restraining order on March 17. He was fined £50, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
