He was charged with two counts of negligent motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence of alcohol and one count each of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and operating a motor vehicle under a license restriction.
A not guilty plea was entered on Frontino s behalf during his arraignment in Stoughton District Court on Thursday afternoon.
Norfolk County Assistant District Attorney Christopher Meade asked Judge Daniel O Malley to set Frontino s bail at $5,000 and impose conditions that he not drive and remain alcohol-free.
On the night of the crash, Meade said Frontino was observed on several occasions by witnesses driving over the center line separating traffic. Witnesses statements were corroborated by detectives via video surveillance, he said.
The driver refused to leave his car, punched the trooper and reached toward the center console, police said. The trooper, fearing the driver could be retrieving a weapon, pulled him out.
Once outside the vehicle, Fuller allegedly repeatedly struck the trooper before tackling him to the ground and driving his face into the pavement, police said.
Back on his feet, the trooper was allegedly grabbed by Fuller and pushed 15 to 20 feet into oncoming traffic, causing a driver to switch lanes to avoid striking the trooper, authorities said. Fuller and the trooper continued fighting on the ground, police said, as Fuller allegedly tried to grab the trooper s weapon.

RANDOLPH, Mass. (WLNE) – A Boston man is facing twelve charges after assaulting a Massachusetts State Trooper early Sunday morning, according to state police officials.
A spokesperson for Massachusetts State Police said the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. The suspect reportedly punched, choked, and pushed the troopers head into the pavement while they were fighting on the side of the highway.
State police said the incident started after a state trooper pulled over a purple Dodge Charger driving 81 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 93 south in Randolph.
During the traffic stop, the trooper found that Devin Fuller, 29, of Boston, was driving with a suspended license. According to state police, Fuller refused to comply with the trooper’s request to get out of his car and observed him repeatedly looking down at his center console.
