Health Department, Spectrum Health Urge Vaccination Of Adolescents

Spectrum Health Lakeland and the Berrien County Health Department held a Facebook Live discussion on Wednesday to urge the vaccination of adolescents age 12 years and older for COVID-19. Dr. Anne Dudley with Lakeland Health Network said she recommends the vaccine for those who are eligible and medically cleared to get it. “I can’t wait to get my own children vaccinated,” Dudley said. “My husband and I are both physicians. We’ve both been in this pandemic fight for the last year and a half, and we’re really happy that our family can be protected hopefully in the next couple of months. I would certainly recommend it for pregnant and breastfeeding moms as well. And I’m really encouraged that hopefully we’ll have this vaccine available for children down to age five and then hopefully even down to age six months in the next several months.”
