Guwahati:Himanta Biswa Sarma would be sworn in as the 15th Chief Minister of Assam at a simple ceremony on Monday (May 10). The Cabinet or the Council of Ministers would also be sworn at 12 noon.
Arrangements are underway at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati for the swearing-in ceremony. The space at the Governor s House would be restricted and would not be appropriate as per COVID protocol, therefore it has been decided to hold the ceremony at Kalakshetra.

GUWAHATI: The government is ready to talk with the agitating farmers. Let the discussion on the farm laws be clause by clause, said Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar.
Addressing the media after inaugurating the Media Centre of the State
BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) at Khanapara here on Thursday, the Union Minister added, Prime Minister Narendra Modiji has repeatedly said that the government is ready to talk with the farmers on the farm laws. If there is any anti-farmer clause in any of these three Acts, the government is ready to discuss the point(s) in depth with the farmers. I am also in constant touch with the farmers unions in this regard.
