An eligible resident receives the Moderna vaccine at Bayonne Medical Center.
Bayonne has administered COVID-19 vaccinations to more than 6,000 residents and is set to receive more Moderna doses in coming weeks, according to Bayonne Health Officer Michele O’Reilly.
“This number is a combination of residents vaccinated at the Bayonne Medical Center, the Hudson County site in Kearny, and the RWJBarnabas satellite hospital at 24th Street and Broadway,” O’Reilly said.
Bayonne Medical Center is at 29 East 29th Street, the Hudson County Vaccination Distribution Center in Kearny is at 110 Hackensack Ave., and RWJBarnabas is at 519 Broadway.
“If you opt for the county site, please continue to monitor their registration page each day for open appointments,” O’Reilly said.

Hudson County launches COVID-19 vaccine awareness campaign
Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise launched a new public awareness campaign featuring county residents, designed to increase acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines, particularly in communities of color.
The first video features Hudson County Director of Health & Human Services Darice Toon talking about why she decided to get the vaccine.
“Darice Toon’s message to Hudson County residents is both simple and powerful: ‘trust the science, be a part of the solution,’ and I commend her for speaking out about this incredibly important issue,” DeGise said. “In order to beat back this pandemic, we will need as many people as possible to get vaccinated, and that means confronting some very real and historically justified fears, particularly in Black and Latino communities. That’s exactly why this campaign is so important and why we are excited to start it today.”
