Doctors will be deputed from the Indian Army, says CM
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Monday said the State government had taken over the Gold Fields Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Faridabad district to set up a hospital with 100 oxygen beds in view of the ongoing pandemic. It had been lying closed for years.
The Chief Minister said this after visiting the medical college.
He said the doctors at Gold Fields Institute of Medical Sciences and Research would be deputed from the Indian Army and the hospital would be functional in the next two or three days.
Haryana CM Manohar Lal said supply of Remdesivir injections will be increased in government hospitals.

Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said on Thursday that adequate arrangements have been to ensure uninterrupted supply of medicines, oxygen and other facilities for patients.
He said the government had decided to close shops dealing in non-essential items in crowded markets across the State by 6 pm from April 23 as a precautionary measure.
Responding to journalists’ question, Mr. Lal admitted that some difficulty was reported in the supply of oxygen to Haryana, Delhi and other States from the plant in Panipat, but the problem had now been resolved.

Arrangements made to ensure no labourer faces any problem, says Manohar Lal
Putting an end to speculation surrounding ‘lockdown’, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Tuesday said no lockdown would be imposed in the State.
He said there would be strict compliance of COVID-19 guidelines to contain the deadly virus. The Chief Minister, addressing a live telecast programme ‘Haryana ki Baat’, urged the labourers and workers not to panic.
“Adequate arrangements have been made to ensure that no labourer faces any problem. The State government is standing by every worker,” said the Chief Minister.
“Last year many labourers had faced problem due to the lockdown. But this time keeping the interest of the labourers and workers, especially those working on daily and monthly wages, no lockdown would be imposed.
