Erika Johnson filed the suit on Dec. 11 in Harris County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 10, 2019, Johnson was a patron at Torchy’s Tacos. The floor near the bathroom had been mopped and no signs were placed, creating a dangerous condition that caused Johnson to slip and fall.
The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment.

HOUSTON A Houston area nursing and rehab facility is being accused of neglect that led to a patient s malnutrition, infection, pressure injuries and death.
Deborah Louis, individually and on behalf of the Estate of John Louis, filed a complaint Dec. 10 in Harris County District Court against Wallsville Healthcare Inc., doing business as East View Healthcare, Liberty County Hospital District No. 1 alleging medical negligence.
John Louis became a resident at Legend Oaks in October of 2018, according to the complaint. The plaintiff alleges that while at Legend Oaks, John Louis suffered from malnutrition, dehydration, pressure sores and deep tissue injuries.
She further alleges that John Louis had to be hospitalized in November and December of 2018, and was found to have malnutrition, skin sores and infection.

HOUSTON – The City of Houston is facing a suit alleging a police officer was speeding through an intersection without lights or sirens, struck a vehicle and caused a fatal accident.
Lawrence Cooper and Dr. Brandi Cooper-Lewis, individually and on behalf of Walter Cooper, filed a
complaint Dec. 1 in Harris County District Court against the City of Houston alleging negligence and wrongful death.
The plaintiffs stated in their complaint that Walter Cooper was traveling on Darien Street on Nov. 21, 2020. They alleged that as Cooper began to slow down to cross the intersection at Ley Road, a Houston Police Department cruiser without lights or sirens in operation t-boned the vehicle.
