HOUSTON Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced on Monday. December 7, 2020 that Oscar Aristides Garcia, 33, has been arrested in connection with a 2018 shooting death. Garcia was charged with murder after allegedly shooting 37-year-old Nicolas Bautista,
“This was a team effort by our office, US Marshals and Pasadena PD to get an arrest so the victim’s family could see justice done,” Ogg said. “We have one job, and we must always do it well: justice in every single instance, in every single case.”

A former police captain with the Houston Police Department was arrested while trying to conduct an independent investigation to prove voter fraud in the 2020 election.
On Tuesday, police arrested and charged 63-year-old Mark Anthony Aguirre with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony punishable with up to 20 years in prison, after he allegedly ran a man off a road and pointed a gun at him. Aguirre claimed to have been conducting surveillance on a man he suspected to be part of a voter fraud scheme. He crossed the line from dirty politics to commission of a violent crime, and we are lucky no one was killed, said Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg in a statement. His alleged investigation was backward from the start - first alleging a crime had occurred and then trying to prove it happened.

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced that a Grand Jury indicted three people Friday in two different failed schemes intended to affect the outcomes in two Texas House of Representatives’ local districts during the 2020 election cycle. The impacted districts were HD 132 and HD 142.
“Our democracy depends on keeping our elected officials safe from coercion and our elections free from illegal manipulation,” Ogg said. “Those indicted today crossed the line from dirty politics to criminal activity and they will pay the price.”
