HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A Nassau Bay man was convicted of kicking a law enforcement officer in the face and chest and sentenced to 13 years in prison, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.
A jury convicted Anthony Earl Foreman, 30, on Wednesday of assaulting a peace officer, a second-degree felony. State District Judge Hazel Jones sentenced Foreman following a three-day trial this week, the district attorney’s office said.
Because he had been sentenced to prison before for a similar offense, Foreman faced a possible sentence of five years to life in prison.

HOUSTON - The Harris County District Attorney s Office is charging a worker at an unlicensed boarding home in connection with the death of a 65-year-old resident.
John Grant, 55, could spend from 5 years to life in prison if convicted for injury to an elderly individual.
According to court documents, Grant worked as a caregiver at the unlicensed boarding home at 5818 Schevers Street in southeast Houston. He reportedly beat, restrained, and choked the victim on multiple occasions. About a week before the victim died, Grant reportedly tied him to a chair so tightly the cord cut his wrist.

HOUSTON Houston police are searching for a boarding house worker accused of tying up a senior citizen, leading to his death.
It allegedly happened in a south Houston residence that had been turned into a group boarding home.
A former resident and key witness said, “About a dozen guys that were sleeping in beds out in the garage.”
