Hyundai sells 1,000th truck fitted with Allison 1000 xFE
SEOUL, 18 days ago Allison Transmission, the largest manufacturer of fully automatic transmissions for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, has announced that over 1,000 of Hyundai Mighty trucks equipped with the Allison 1000 xFE fully automatic transmission, have been sold since its launch in June 2020. Hyundai Mighty are 2.5- and 3.5-tonne light-duty trucks being manufactured by Hyundai Motor Company that have an unrivaled market share in South Korea. Hyundai Mighty trucks with Allison fully automatic transmissions provide better driving convenience, fuel economy, reliability and productivity than the manual transmission equipped Mighty trucks. To celebrate the successful launch, Allison Transmission held an event with Gyung-Jae Joo, the owner of the 1,000th Hyundai Mighty equipped with the 1000 xFE fully automatic transmission.
Police are appealing for dashcam vision, after five people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Hamilton overnight.
An Audi A4 and Hyundai Mighty truck collided on Gordon Avenue, causing the car to hit a power pole and the truck to flip onto its side.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Everton Street at around 7.30.
The 26-year-old driver of the Audi, was assessed by paramedics and taken to John Hunter hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.
A male passenger was also taken to hospital, with a suspected broken arm.
The 46-year-old truck driver was trapped in the vehicle, but freed by Police Rescue a short time later.

Police investigate truck and car crash at Newcastle
An investigation is underway after five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in the Newcastle area yesterday.
Just after 7.30pm (Saturday 13 February 2021), emergency services were called to Gordon Avenue, Hamilton, after reports of a crash between an Audi A4 and Hyundai Mighty small rigid truck.
Police have been told the vehicles collided near Everton Street, causing the Audi to hit a power pole, with the truck coming to rest on its side on top of the Audi.
The driver of the Audi, a 26-year-old man, was assessed at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
