Man rushed to hospital after incident in Watford town centre

A man has been rushed to hospital following a major incident in Watford town centre this morning. Police are yet to provide full details on a road traffic incident this morning, which led to a man being hospitalised and traffic chaos around many streets of Watford. Several closures, including Exchange Road, were put in place following an incident at Exchange Road after around 10.15am this morning. Police cordoned off several streets this morning The closures were lifted at around 2.30pm, after around nine police cars and several emergency services were at the scene. Steven Lee, stands trial accused of causing death by dangerous driving and death by careless driving in connection with the death of Ryan Lynch, 29. Mr Lynch tragically died of his injuries after he was hit by a white Audi R8 in South Street, Braintree in 2018. Mr Lee denies both charges. The car allegedly mounted the pavement at around 3.30pm on Sunday, April 8, before the collision occurred. Mr Lynch, who was from the town, died from his injuries a week later in hospital.
