Several Chittenden County towns have been victim to sprees of car break-ins in recent weeks.
Some people, like Hinesburg resident Cyndy Craft, had their cars hit after leaving car doors unlocked. Craft, in particular, had a paddleboard stolen in April. I like to be very trusting, Craft said. I like to believe that people are generally wanting to help each other and be kind to each other, so it s frustrating when someone takes from you.
Now, Craft makes sure to lock her car doors, and she is encouraging Vermonters to look out for their neighbors and report any suspicious activity. She also just wants her paddleboard back.
